Girideepam Business School (GBS) proudly organized the International Study Tour 2026 for the MBA Batch 2024–26 to *Thailand* from 08 March to 12 March 2026. The five-day global exposure programme was designed to provide students with first-hand insights into international business practices, cross-cultural management, global marketing strategies, and emerging trends in tourism-driven economies.
The delegation comprising MBA students and faculty members visited *Thailand*, one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic and rapidly growing economies. The tour covered key destinations including Bangkok and Pattaya, offering students a blend of academic learning and cultural exploration.
Academic & Industrial Exposure
As part of the academic engagement, students interacted with industry professionals and business representatives to understand Thailand’s business environment, tourism management systems, retail operations, and service excellence models. The sessions focused on global supply chain practices, international trade opportunities, customer-centric business models, and the integration of technology in service industries.
Students observed Thailand’s vibrant retail ecosystem, modern infrastructure, hospitality management practices, and the country’s strategic positioning as a global tourism hub. These experiences helped them relate classroom theories to real-world global business applications.
Cross-Cultural Learning
The international tour also emphasized cross-cultural communication and global leadership competencies. Exposure to Thai culture, traditions, business etiquette, and consumer behaviour patterns enhanced students’ understanding of managing diversity in international markets. Visits to significant cultural landmarks and heritage sites provided a holistic perspective of how culture and commerce coexist in a global economy.
