Girideepam Business School MBA XVII Batch (2026–2028) Batch Initiation Programme was held on the college campus on 29 July 2026. The event marked the beginning of a new academic journey for the incoming MBA students in the presence of distinguished guests, faculty members, parents, and students.
The programme commenced with a *Welcome Address* by *Dr. Subin Thomas, Dean – Academics, Girideepam Business School, who warmly welcomed the newly admitted students and encouraged them to make the best use of the academic and professional opportunities offered by GBS. This was followed by the traditional **Lighting of the Lamp* by the dignitaries, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom.
The *Presidential Address* was delivered by *Rev. Fr. Robin Ettithadathil OIC, Director, Girideepam Colleges*, who emphasized the importance of integrity, leadership, and continuous learning in shaping successful management professionals. He encouraged the students to uphold the values of discipline, commitment, and social responsibility throughout their MBA journey.
The *Keynote Address* was delivered by *Mr. Vishnu Lona Jacob, Trainer and Founder of Awake Academy*, who inspired the students with an engaging and motivational session. He highlighted the significance of developing the right mindset, communication skills, leadership qualities, and adaptability to excel in today's dynamic business environment. His interactive presentation motivated the students to embrace challenges with confidence and strive for excellence in both their academic and professional lives.
The programme concluded with a *Vote of Thanks* proposed by *Mr. Jithin John, Assistant Professor, Girideepam Business School*, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, resource person, faculty members, parents, and students for making the inaugural programme a memorable occasion.
