As part of the international immersion programs the 2021-23 batch students of GBS visited Malaysia during the month of February 2023. During the five day program from 9th February to 15th February, the team have visited Kuala Lumpur City Centre, KL Twin Tower, KL National Monument, National Mosque, Dataran Merdeka, Chinese Temple, KL Tower, Batu Caves, Genting Heights in cable car and Berjaya time Square.
To enrich the industrial learning exposure the GBS team had visited Royal Selangor International Malaysian pewter manufacturer and retailer, the largest of its type in the world. The visit helped the students to gain practical insights in the operations of the manufacturing firm.
To enhance the cross cultural academic learning experience the team visited Multi Media University, Malaysia on 13th February. The expert interactive session handled by the senior professor Dr. Saravanan Muthaiyah on the topic “Digital Transformation in Financial Sector” helped the students to explore the digital advancements in the financial sector. During expert interactive session with the senior officials of Multimedia University students expressed their interest in doing internships and projects in Malaysia. The session also proved to be beneficial for the students in exploring the opportunities for higher studies in Malaysia.
The officials of Girideepm Business School and Multimedia University during their discussion agreed to renew the MoU for Academic collaboration. The possibilities for student exchange, faculty exchange between the institutions and short term certification courses were explored during the session. The session concluded by noon with the thanks giving remarks of Fr. Justin Thomas OIC Director GBS for the warm reception and willingness for extending academic collaborations.
